Maya is a puzzle game made for the 2014 Leap Motion 3d Jam.
I wanted to explore the depth of VR while having an intuitive interface using the Leap Motion’s capabilities. I had this idea about perspective, which would be really easy if it was an ortographic camera, but I needed the depth. In the end, it turned into this weird meta-commentary about virtual reality in a spiritual journey-themed game with a faux PBR look, exploiting the “in your face” 3d feeling as much as possible without ruining the experience.
I still wonder why I took the time to do a trailer DURING the game jam.
