Horizon Chase is an ode to 16bit racers. It’s a reimagining in polygons of the pixillated thrills of games such as a Top Gear and Outrun.
I was responsible for creating the systems for the track, which involved a lot of smart solutions to make sure we could do sample splines hundreds of times every frame without adding any performance hickups, and also for the cars and opponent AI that would fit the designer’s vision.
Horizon Chase was released as Editor’s Choice on iOS, won several accolades and was both a critical an financial success.
